Live-in Housekeeper with light childcare support

A warm and welcoming HNW family based in Highgate is seeking an experienced, long-term live-in Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their busy family home.

This is a housekeeper-primary position with a defined childcare element, best suited to someone who genuinely enjoys working around children while taking pride in maintaining a beautifully organised household to exceptionally high standards.

The Role

• Position: Live-in Housekeeper
• Location: Highgate, North London
• Schedule: 5 days per week, approximately 7:00am–8:00pm with a generous mid-day break (10:00am–2:00pm)
• Flexibility: Some occasional weekend evening babysitting required
• Family: Two adults and two daughters aged 5 and 7
• Property: Large 6-bedroom family home
• Accommodation: Spacious private bedroom with en-suite bathroom
• Pets: No pets currently, though the family may consider getting one in the future

Key Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping to an exceptional standard throughout the home
• Laundry and ironing, including delicate garments
• Wardrobe management and linen care
• Household organisation and maintaining tidy, well-run spaces
• School drop-offs and pick-ups using the family car
• Light family-style cooking and meal preparation
• Assisting the children with homework when needed
• Occasional babysitting in the evenings
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Proactively anticipating the family's needs and taking initiative

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, discreet, and proactive, with proven experience working within private family households.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with confident, recent driving experience in North London
• Recent experience in private family residences
• Strong housekeeping skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Warm, kind, and confident around young children while understanding that this is not a nanny role
• Full right to live and work in the UK
• Excellent, checkable references from comparable private or HNW households
• Comfortable working around pets in the future
• Seeking a long-term, stable live-in position
