Our family are looking for a professional and experienced live-out housekeeper to join their household of four in Kensington. This is a brand-new home and they require a meticulous and organised individual to maintain it to the highest standard while keeping everything in order according to the family's preferences.
The role involves both general housekeeping and laundress responsibilities, therefore exceptional laundry and wardrobe management skills are essential. You must be confident in handling delicate fabrics, high-end finishes (such as marble and brass) and specialist laundry appliances.
Additionally, the role will require occasional care of a smaller nearby property which is used for guests and overseas visitors. You will ensure that this property remains clean, organised, and ready for occupancy when needed.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and excellent at time management, ensuring the household runs smoothly and remains well-maintained. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be liaising with family members, guests, contractors, and service providers.
There will be around one weekend a month when you are required to work but you can have the time in lieu or paid extra,

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a pristine level of cleanliness and organisation throughout the home.
- Manage all household laundry, including washing, ironing, and handling delicate fabrics.
- Care for and operate specialist laundry appliances.
- Handwash and mend delicate clothing items when required.
- Pack and unpack for family travel.
- Maintain and organise wardrobes efficiently.
- Change and manage household linens regularly.
- Ensure household essentials, including groceries and fridge items, are always stocked.
- Assist with grocery shopping and household errands.
- Greet and assist guests upon arrival.
- Support preparation for private events and gatherings.
- Supervise and liaise with contractors and service providers.
- Arrange and oversee household maintenance and specialist cleaning according to a household manual.
- Occasionally manage and prepare a nearby guest property for visitors.
- Communicate effectively with the family, guests, and other staff to ensure smooth household operations.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a private household.
- Excellent knowledge of high-end finishes (e.g., marble, brass) and their care.
- Strong laundry and wardrobe management expertise.
- High level of organisation and time management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physically fit and able to handle stairs and manual household tasks.
- Proactive, professional, and discreet.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Non-smoker.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel with the family if required.
- Excellent, checkable references.
