Our client is looking to recruit a full-time Housekeeper / Cook for their family home in the Cobham area.
They are a family of four, comprising two adults who both work full time and two teenagers, who are fully independent. They also have a small dog. They are looking for someone who can truly take ownership of the household and ensure everything runs smoothly, allowing them to focus on their professional commitments.
The successful candidate would be responsible for managing the household, the hands on housekeeping duties will account for around 17 – 20 hours a week maximum.
Responsibilities would include:
• General housekeeping and maintaining the home to a very high standard
• Laundry and ironing
• Grocery shopping, particularly for fresh produce and quality ingredients
• Planning, preparing and cooking healthy, fresh dinners for the family each day [family style cooking that can be heated up]
• Managing deliveries and post
• Keeping the household organised and running smoothly on a day-to-day basis
• Taking initiative and ensuring that everything is taken care of without the need for close supervision
• Taking care of the small dog including feeding, walks if required, arranging and taking him to grooming appointments, and generally overseeing all aspects of his care
• Very light gardening duties, strictly at the candidate's pleasure, if time allows and primarily during the warmer months, such as picking flowers, occasional lawn mowing, weeding flower beds and seasonal planting
Ideally, they are looking for someone who:
• Lives within approximately 20–30 minutes of Cobham
• Has a full driving licence and their own car
• Is an excellent cook and enjoys preparing healthy, fresh meals
• Is energetic, cheerful and proactive
• Is trustworthy, discreet and highly organised
• Takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards
• Enjoys becoming a valued and long-term part of a family's daily life
