Part-time housekeeper

THE ROLE

A warm and busy family of five are seeking an experienced, reliable, and proactive morning Housekeeper to support the smooth running of their large West London home.

Working alongside an additional full-time housekeeper and liaising with the family's PA when needed, you will take responsibility for maintaining high standards across the household during the morning routine.

This role requires someone organised, self-motivated, and confident working both independently and as part of a small team. Flexibility is appreciated, including occasional travel to the family's other residences when required, as well as the ability to assist with pet and house sitting with the children (mainly for the youngest who is 14, the other two older children take care of themselves), along with occasional overnight stays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Morning Household Support

  • Clearing and tidying up after breakfast
  • Preparing simple breakfasts when required
  • Ensuring children are organised for school (bags, kits, water bottles, etc.)
  • General morning reset of the home to a high standard

Housekeeping Duties

  • Daily cleaning including hoovering, dusting, mopping floors, and detailed bathroom cleaning
  • Making beds and changing bed linen
  • Maintaining kitchens, utility rooms, and living spaces
  • Caring for fine materials such as marble, brass, and delicate furnishings
  • Keeping front and back outdoor areas tidy (light sweeping, watering plants when needed)

Laundry & Wardrobe Management

  • Washing, ironing, and hand-washing delicate items
  • Care of high-quality garments (cashmere, silks, cottons, fine fabrics)
  • Wardrobe organisation and upkeep for family members
  • Managing dry cleaning (drop-off/collection as needed)

Dog Care

  • Walking the family's four dogs as part of the morning routine (most of the time, it is just two small dogs, but the family may bring the other two form the country home, you are NOT expected to walk all at the same time)
  • Feeding and ensuring fresh water is available
  • General care and attention, ensuring the dogs are clean, safe, and settled
  • Keeping dog-related areas tidy and organised

Household Organisation

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the home
  • Monitoring household supplies and reporting when replenishment is needed
  • Keeping fridge areas clean and organised

THE FAMILY

  • Family of 5 with three older children (14, 18 and 21)
  • Informal household with high standards
  • Travel during school holidays (Christmas and Summer typically asre when you would take your annual leave but of course can take at other times when needed with prior agreement)

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience in a similar housekeeping role within a private household
  • Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards
  • Confident handling laundry and luxury garments
  • Team player with a flexible and positive attitude
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced morning environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Tagalog speaking is highly desirable
