We are seeking an experienced, professional and long-term Housekeeper to join a warm and busy family household based in Mill Hill, NW7.
This is a full-time position within a well-supported home environment. The family already employs a nanny, therefore this role is focused primarily on housekeeping, household organisation and simple healthy family cooking rather than childcare.
The property is a large private family home, so previous experience working in substantial households and maintaining exceptionally high standards is essential.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive, trustworthy and genuinely seeking a long-term role with a family.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the home to an exceptionally high standard at all times
- Daily housekeeping, cleaning and household organisation
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
- Changing bed linen and maintaining bathrooms and household supplies
- Preparing simple, healthy family meals and snacks
- Running household errands and assisting with general household coordination
- Managing deliveries and overseeing tradespeople when required
- Caring for specialist household items including delicate clothing, furnishings and antiques where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience working within private households
- Excellent references from previous employers
- Stable employment history with multiple long-term roles (ideally 3–5 years+ in previous positions)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to use initiative
- Emotionally mature, discreet and highly reliable
- Experience working in larger homes with high standards
- Strong and confident communication skills
- A genuine desire to build a stable, long-term position within a private household
