Our client is looking for an experienced, trustworthy and flexible travelling housekeeper/companion. This is a live-in position, and you would be working alongside one other person so you must be a team player.
Of utmost importance is a person who is fundamentally honest and who can absolutely be trusted. A person who has a very good disposition, an easy-going and warm character, an excellent temperament and is very caring.
Due to the travelling, it is essential that the person is flexible and can adapt to unforeseen circumstances and enjoys life and travel. The principal could stay anywhere between 3 months and one year in a particular location and so this role is suited to someone with no other commitments.
It is absolutely essential that this person also feels a true love for dogs and that she enjoys walks in nature. The dog is a very friendly and well mannered Dashchund and would be the housekeepers responsibility when travelling.
Duties would include:
- Classic household chores, with attention to detail and neatly done.
- Cooking simple, natural and healthy food
- accompanying the lady grocery shopping
- walking an excellently tempered, loving and characterful Wired Hair Dachshund either alone or with the principal
- Accompanying the lady on trips to Europe, South America, London and the UK Countryside and anywhere else the lady would like to travel to
- Offer companionship and light conversation
- Packing and unpacking for trips
- Deal with mail or any deliveries, handle the logistics of occasional repairs and communicating with the person in charge of maintenance (or the property manager), as well as with the owner of the house if necessary.
A car driver and Spanish speaker would be a bonus, thought not essential.
The hours would be around 50 hours a week, with flexibility being key as hours may differ on a day to day basis. There would be a lot of down time when travelling.
