Job Title: Live-out Housekeeper (Permanent, Full-Time)

Location: Southport

Salary: Up to £40,000 gross per annum (employed or self-employed )

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility for 10:00am – 6:00pm if preferred)

Household Overview

A welcoming and busy family of 2 adults and 4 children (3 living at home) are seeking an experienced, organised, and proactive full-time Housekeeper. The household requires a hands-on individual who can take responsibility for maintaining a clean, well-run, and structured home environment.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Cleaning

  • Full cleaning of the home to a high standard
  • Daily upkeep including tidying, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising
  • Periodic deep cleaning of key areas

Laundry & Wardrobe Care

  • Washing, drying, ironing
  • Organising wardrobes and maintaining clothing care

Household Management

  • Managing household supplies and restocking essentials
  • Grocery shopping and general errands
  • Keeping household areas organised and clutter-free

Family Support

  • Assisting with school runs occasionally
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the family home
  • Being adaptable to the needs of a busy household with children
  • Additional Duties (Desirable but Not Essential)
  • Cooking or meal preparation for the family
  • Be a bonus for someone to be child friendly and be willing to mind the two younger children after school and to give them meal if the parents are still working 

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Housekeeper in a private household
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing family needs
  • Child-friendly and comfortable in a busy family environment
  • Full driving licence and confident driver (essential for school runs and errands)
