Job Description – Live-in Domestic Couple

A permanent, full-time position based in Keston, working for a relaxed and happy private household with two adults and one young child aged 1 year. This is a live-in role with self-contained accommodation provided, including a bedroom, ensuite, kitchen, and sitting room, with all living costs covered by the employer.

The role requires a proactive and flexible couple to support the smooth running of the household, working alongside other staff where necessary. The position involves a combination of housekeeping, some childcare support, and property maintenance responsibilities.

This will be working 5 days a week with at least one full wekeend guaranteed off per month. The employer is very flexible e.g. you could work Tuesday to Saturday and have Sunday/Monday off...

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the property to a high standard, including cleaning, washing, and ironing along with one other housekeeper
  • Assisting with childcare support when required
  • Carrying out basic maintenance and general household upkeep
  • Driving duties, including errands and transporting family members if needed
  • Ensuring security of the property at all times
  • Supporting the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the household
  • Working collaboratively with other household staff
  • Garden maintenance [ no horticultural skills required]

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within private households
  • Full driving licence
  • Flexible attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High level of discretion, reliability, and professionalism
