A private family estate in rural Surrey is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Junior Housekeeper to join their dedicated housekeeping team. This is a live-out role offering full training, ideal for someone seeking a long-term position in a supportive and structured environment within a great team.
The client is very happy to consider people with a little experience or a background in a high end hotel, if they have a great attitude and are really keen to progress a career within private household.
Please note: you will need your own transport to get to and from the residence.
Role Overview:
You will assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of the main residence, guest accommodations, and surrounding buildings. The role is varied and hands-on, with opportunities to support formal events and seasonal gatherings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Daily cleaning: bed making, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, etc.
• Rotational deep cleaning and upkeep of outbuildings, gym, and guest areas
• Dog walking and light grooming
• occasionally helping with food prep in the kitchen once trained
• Supporting formal dinner parties and end-of-year pheasant shoot events
• Working collaboratively within a rota system to maintain high standards
Ideal Candidate:
• No prior experience required-training provided
• Punctual, discreet, and eager to learn
• Comfortable working in a professional and high-standard private home
• Own transport preferred due to rural location
