Housekeeper/dog sitter

Overview

We are seeking a reliable, caring, and experienced Housekeeper / Dog Sitter to live on-site at a private home in Viareggio in Tuscany. It is a beautiful Italian seaside town. Accommodation is your own bedroom and bathroom. This role combines general housekeeping duties with daily care and companionship for three dogs. The ideal candidate is practical, trustworthy, animal-loving, physically fit and comfortable living in a rural Italian setting.

Key Responsibilities Housekeeping

• Daily cleaning and tidying of the house

• Laundry and ironing

• Light cooking or meal preparation is a bonus

• Managing household supplies

• Keeping indoor and outdoor living areas clean and organised

• Wardrobe management

Dog Care

• Daily feeding according to routine

• Walking and exercising the dogs

• Providing companionship and supervision

• Basic grooming (brushing, cleaning paws, etc.)

• Administering medication if required

• Keeping dog areas clean

• Pet sitting when principal is away

Working Hours

• Full-time role-the dogs need walking at 7.30am and again at 6.30pm. The rest of the day is to be self organised. 

• Typical schedule to be agreed (with flexibility).

• Time off each week to be discussed-working 5 days a week when principal in residence, will be up to 10 consecutive days when she is not in residence, with time off in lieu or paid extra. 

Requirements

• Proven experience in housekeeping and pet care

• Genuine love for dogs

• Trustworthy, discreet, and responsible

• Able to work independently

• Good physical health

• EU passport or valid right to work in Italy
