Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on experience and skills)

A warm and welcoming private family based in Manchester is seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper, Carer, and Cook to join their household on a permanent full-time basis. This role can be offered on either a live-in or live-out basis for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the household while providing companionship and supervision to an elderly family member. We are looking for someone who is kind, patient, organised, and able to maintain high standards in both care and cooking. The family have a full time housekeeper who you would just support when needed.
Main Responsibilities
- Care & Companionship
- Providing supervision, companionship, and support to an elderly mother.
- Assisting with daily wellbeing and maintaining personal hygiene standards.
- Accompanying and driving to medical appointments and social engagements.
- Encouraging independence while ensuring safety and comfort.
- Monitoring general wellbeing and reporting any concerns to family members.
- Assisting the full-time housekeeper when required.
- Ensuring household supplies are stocked and organised.
- Preparing healthy breakfasts, packed lunches, and evening meals.
- Cooking authentic Indian cuisine to a high standard.
- Planning nutritious and varied meals.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Speak fluent Hindi. [essential]
- Be well presented and polite
- Have previous experience supporting elderly individuals.
- Be confident preparing authentic Indian dishes.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be a confident driver.
- Have excellent attention to detail and be able to follow instructions accurately.
- Be highly organised and comfortable working to a structured routine.
- Be calm, gentle, patient, and caring in nature.
- Be trustworthy, discreet, and professional at all times.
